Depression

Depression is a mental health condition that affects millions of people worldwide. While experiencing depression is common and can happen from time to time, if it interferes with your life, it’s essential to seek help to address these symptoms and work towards healing.

It’s important to understand that depression is more than just feeling sad or blue; it is a serious condition that can have a profound impact on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Common symptoms of depression include:

  • Persistent feelings of sadness
  • Hopelessness
  • Worthlessness
  • Guilt
  • Changes in appetite
  • Changes in sleep patterns
  • Decreased energy levels.
  • Lack of interest in daily activities

There are different types of depression and each requires different approaches to treatment and management. Therapy is a proven treatment option for depression, and the therapeutic approach can be customized to meet your specific needs.

Therapy is most effective when you actively participate in the process and engage with the treatment plan. It’s important to understand you are not walking this road alone. I will be By Your Side as we set goals for therapy, learn and practice coping mechanisms, and explore and address the root causes(s) of your depression.

Recovery from depression is a journey that requires time, effort, and commitment. Setting realistic goals, celebrating small victories, and staying connected to resources and support systems are essential steps in finding hope and healing. It is important to keep top of mind that healing is possible and that there is light at the end of the tunnel, even in the bleakest moments.
